“Understanding Wine & Wine Tasting” is a wine course built on a Master of Wines 40 years of wine experience to teach wine tasting as a skill that can be learnt.
The aim is to create people who can identify wine through taste alone and through the different levels come to understand the techniques required to pass the Masters of Wine tasting exam.
“跟着大师学品酒”是建立在葡萄酒大师Robert Geddes 40年行业经验基础上的课程,教授普通人也可以掌握的品酒技巧。
我们的目标是让人们仅通过品尝就能鉴别葡萄酒,并通过不同级别的学习来理解葡萄酒大师盲品考试所需要的技巧。
 
This course uses several levels to improve the student's ability to understand and describe wine including techniques that are used to train winemakers, master sommeliers and Masters of Wine students. Each level allows people to fix a different character of wine in their mind to build on their blind tasting skills.
本课程使用至少4个级别来提高学员理解和描述葡萄酒的能力,其中有些技巧是Robert Geddes MW曾经培训酿酒师、侍酒师大师和葡萄酒大师考生的经验。每一级别着重培养不同的盲品技巧,使得学员能够由浅入深建立完整的盲品体系。
 
Starting with “Foundations to describing wines, Primary cognitive stage” This sharply observed deeply philosophical, yet practical courses explains the culture of wine using scientifically evaluated processes and insight into human nature.” In this session we focus on flavour and how to understand it.
1级课程 “描述葡萄酒的基础,初级认知阶段”
这门课程从“描述葡萄酒的基础,初级认知阶段”开始,结合哲学思想与科学实践来理解葡萄酒的文化,并洞察人类的感知系统。在这节课中,我们着重探讨口中的味道并理解它。
 
Through levels 2 “Secondary cognitive stage; Judge and choose” where we deal with questions of grape variety and wine balance. Helping students deal with MW Questions dealing with variety. This level will involve winemaking's influence to wine flavours. The most important varieties are discussed in detail.
2级课程“二级认知阶段;判断并选择”
这一阶段我们解决有关葡萄品种和葡萄酒平衡的问题。 帮助学生应对葡萄酒大师考试时葡萄品种的相关问题,同时涉及酿造工艺对葡萄酒风味的影响。本级课程着重培养学员辨识国际最重要的10多个品种的技能。
 
Level 3 “Origin - where the wine comes from” explaining viticulture and why the same grape variety taste different when grown in different places- soil, climate and terroir. Helping students deal with MW Questions dealing with origin. This level will focus on the most important classical wine regions.
3级课程“原产地-葡萄酒的来源”
理解栽培,并解答为什么相同的品种在不同的地方味道不同(不同的土壤,气候和风土)。帮助学生应对葡萄酒大师考试时有关原产地的问题,同时涉及原产地法律法规及酿造工艺对酒的经典风格、现代风格的影响。本级课程着重培养学员辨识国际上最经典的产区的技能,具有基础的判断葡萄酒品质的能力。
 
Level 4 "MW tasting techniques", students come to form judgments about wine quality and apply what you know to write a MW tasting note to answer MW Questions dealing with quality, MW Questions dealing with vintage/maturity, Questions dealing with wine style。
4级课程“葡萄酒大师品酒技巧”
学生将对葡萄酒的品质做出评判,并运用所学知识撰写葡萄酒大师级别的品酒笔记,并以此来回答葡萄酒大师考试相关的问题,例如品质、年份/陈年状态、风格等。
